I let my prime sub expire over a year ago. I still order from time to time and still get free shipping by spending more than like $50 but the shipping can often be slow. Not only is waiting a bit for what i do need to order not that big of a deal for me, there have been several mistakes where my order has arrived twice and I don't hate that either. I don't miss prime.

I literally purchased a MS-01 a few weeks ago to replace my entire huge homelab, and its been running great for weeks. I'm using Unraid, not Proxmox, because I was able to migrate my master server in 5 minutes. Migrated my storage as well without a hitch, I'm using a Terramaster D6-320 DAS via USB 3.2gen2, and works great. Very pleased, the only issue I see is that it gets very hot.

The news stories you folks share during these discussions are the kinds of things we (everybody, everywhere) should be seeing a *lot* more of in mainstream news reporting - instead of who's flatulating/falling asleep in a courtroom, or who showed up at The Met Gala wrapped in crepe paper. Everyone knows the current Wikipedia is CIA aligned. You just have to read any page on a current issue you know about to realise it is very biased. China having their own is not ideal but I can’t see why it would be any worse - I never use Wikipedia for anything contemporaneous anyway. I assume the Chinese people will just be the same and learn not to use the geopolitical type pages.

U Maine 3D printed a pretty good sized boat, and are going to print an even bigger one next. They said they can use multiple 3D printers simultaneously to create complex projects faster. It's really cool to see. They are also talking about using wood pulp as a print material (something we have a lot of here in Maine) to help increase recyclability and reduce costs.

Installed Linux Mint and Windows 10 stopped working, reinstalled Windows 10 and it stopped working, Windows I get message, format windows drive and make EXT4. Linux Mint is running all my games thanks to Heroic Games Launcher and GOG.

Desktop users need doas. It's easy to install easy to configure, and easy to replace sudo with, using ruby scripts as just-in-time operation replacements with a software shim made expressly for replacing sudo's calls with those from doas.

I don't plan on using any nvidia hardware and their propietary drivers, so I just hope this brings in a bit more competition on the SFF space, I love small and tiny gpus, as I don't play any AAA games and love SFF PCs.

Recent example Twitch "updated" pricing for Australia, Canada, UK and Turkey. I was paying £3.99 a month, they've increased it 26%, $4.99 = £3.96 not £4.99. So I've cancelled all my Twitch subs, as have many others.
